Safari - Change of identity

I am using Safari on windows. A couple of weeks ago, a network modification blocked all transfer from Safari to the web. Is there a tool or plugin that would allow me to change Safary identity to, let's say, behave like it would be IE 8! It's sound weird but I think it would allow me to use alternative (and faster) browser on controlled networks. Tx.
