damaged ipod what do i do?

Are you still under warranty? If you are just call them up and see what they say. If you dont feel like calling, just go to depot.info.apple.com/iPod and enter every single detail of what is happening to the iPod, then they will send you a box and you send out the iPod. Then if it needs repair they will repair it or fully replace it.

I called the closest apple stre which is in Indianapolis, IN - i live in Evansville, In last nite 2 see if they would replace mine and they said that if i brought it in and had everything - recipet they would exchange it. i cant imagine it being thta simple but i guess we will find out. - mine is less then a month old though-- hope this helps, megan

I'm sure they will replace it, I bought the warranty from Apple, which is much easier. My previous iPod was doing the same thing, I called Apple, instead of the store, and they sent a box to put your ipod in. If they can't fix it, they give you a new one or a refurb. Thanks, Good Luck!!!
