Internet Toolbar will not show up

So about 4 hours ago i was on my mac and everything was fine...i come home and try to go on to the internet and the toolbar (address bar history ect) will not show up ive done view>show toolbar and nothing shows up but a big grey area

any help really appreciated!

Control-click on the area where the toolbar should be. Do you get the Customize Toolbar item in the contextual menu? If so, select that and in the window that should appear, try dragging the default button set to the Safari toolbar and see if that fixes the problem.

If not, or if you can't get the contextual menu to appear either, I'd suggest you take this issue up in the Safari forum. You'll be more likely to get further help there, since this probably isn't related to your MacBook's hardware as such.
