QuickVoice not downloading recordings

I have made 5 recordings on my iphone using the app QuickVoice. After following all the proper synching procedures, making sure I have current software, I have had no luck getting them to download to my imac. It looks like it's downloading then says "0 files imported." The company has not responded to my questions and I really need to get these recordings downloaded and saved for transcriptions. Any ideas for a work-around?

I'm having the same issue. In the Sync application there is a "Check For Updates" link. It seems they are aware of problems syncing large files. I wish I would have known this before I recorded an entire presentation. Now I can't access any of the files using the sync app that I recorded after the large file. Bad news is when you click on the update link, Update available, with info, but the link is bad. Hopefully their developers are aware of this and it's in progress because it's left me in a bad spot!

Good news guys got this ironed out... These are copies of emails sent back and fourth...

When I tried to sync, the app downloaded the 7 "ghost files" again. I backed up the phone and deleted and reinstalled the Quick Voice application. I made a new test file and tried to use your sync app to get it. I was getting an error that the Quick Voice wasn't synced with iTunes. So I went into help and read the directions, "Imagine that!" The ghost files were appearing because I didn't realize you had to sync the phone in iTunes to get the right files. I was getting the "ghost files" from the previous "iTunes Sync." You have to sync in iTunes before you Voice Sync your files.

Try these...our latest versions of sync app. This should fix the large file crash...

I downloaded the new iTunes update and tried to sync the files. The files that were deleted from the phone were downloaded again and it crashed again when it got to the large file, same result. I'm currently using Quick Voice Sync version 1.1.0.37, under "Help" in the Quick Voice Sync application there is a check for updates link, it tells me there is an update available, when I press OK to download the file, Safari gives me the following error...

comments: I have a two hour long presentation I recorded and using the app
to sync with my mac, the large file makes it crash every time. I went into
the phone and deleted the files I didn't need. when I tried the sync again
it still syncs even the deleted files then crashes when it gets to the big
one. I though the reappearing files it might be a problem in the iPhones
cashe so I rebooted the phone. Same result. I really would like to have
that large file to archive. Help??? All files recorded after it I can't
get to as far as the sync app goes either. Thanks!

from QuickVoice support:
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us...
Some users who have recently upgraded to the new iTunes 8.1 are now reporting that some - or even all - of their iPhone recordings are not being imported during a QuickVoice Sync / Import.
Our findings are that the new version of iTunes 8.1 is backing up the iPhone recordings okay but is now saving them differently from the previous versions of iTunes. Our developers are updating the sync code and expect a patch to be available within a day or so. We will notify you the moment the updates are uploaded. It shouldn’t be long.
Thank you and best regards,

Important Notes About Importing Transferring Your iPhone Recordings To Computer..... Always perform an iPhone to iTunes “Back Up” before importing your latest iPhone recordings to QuickVoice. This is accomplished by 1.) Connect your iPhone to computer, 2.) Launch iTunes, 3.) Right clicking on the iPhone under devices (in right column), and 4.) Select Back Up (see image below).

• If you are experiencing problems make sure you have not used any illegal characters in your editing file names.

Also, Don’t ask us what the difference is between “Sync” and “Back Up” is... but, just to make sure all your recordings get imported, we are now recommending a full manual back up.
