Help.cd-rw dvd-rom loss after Ipod install.

Just purchased an Ipod Touch. Install seemed to go ok, but then found my cd-rw and dvd drivers have been affected or disabled by the install. I run windows XP. Can anyone help or suggest how i can contact Apple for support? Why did i buy this ipod?????
