Remote wipe of iphone

Quick question which my IT department can't answer (National Health Service in UK).

Now have access to corporate email with microsoft activesync (NHSmail). In theory this wipes the iphone if either 1) enter passcode incorrectly 8 times or 2) use remote wipe via corporate webmail.

Now, my question is if you activate this remote wipe via either method does it just wipe the particular microsoft exchange account or does it wipe everything on the phone (other email accounts, calendars, music etc)?

Many thanks,

Ben
