Have set up a WDS network with Time Capsule as the main.
Airport Extreme as relay and Airport Express as the remote.
All is working..... however I noticed the apple tv and the iMacs connecting at 130.. which is great!!
The question is shouldn't the Extreme and Express connect to TC faster than 54?
How can I fix this or is it possible?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

In WDS mode, the main objective is to extend the straight line distance from your main router to the most distant user.

If the most distant user is within wireless range of your main router, then you do not need WDS.

WDS has a cost penalty in that the chained devices loose bandwidth...as you have found.

But on the older AE (802.11g) isn't WDS the only way you can make the AE bridge the wired port to the wireless on it? I need that so I can get my older G5 tower and HDDVR to connect to the wireless network.

If there is a better way, I'd sure like to know what it is.
