VMware Fusion Won't Install Windows XP

VMware Fusion won't install my full version of Windows XP from the disc. First VMmware couldn't find the disc that contained Windows. Later Fusion couldn't find the hard drive to write the Windows files too.
The VMware support site had some suggestions that were lengthy and complicated and you couldn't print the web page they were on.
I'm looking for a consultant who can help me over the phone install fusion on my MacPro for a fee.
