Loading Panasonic video into Mac

- Model : SDR-H40 - SD/HDD 40GB Camcorder with 42x Optical Zoom -
SDR-H40.

Details: Photos load automatically onto my Mac (OS 10.4.11;2.16GH & Duo
core:1 GB Ram) but any effort to get video files - can see them -
produce files that are blank. Try to drop them into iMovie & they take a
short while to down load - but again it is empty/image. SDR-H40
purchased in June 2008 - plays movies on its screen & through the
television. Very frustrated with what is otherwise a great product. Any suggestions appreciated. Frank
