Deleting 'ums' and 'ahs'

I'm editing a podcast in Garageband that has a lot of 'ums' and 'ahs' and many other parts that I'm removing.

I find incredibly difficult and annoying to join every piece as there are dozens of empty pieces.

I don't like the "join" feature, because it keeps the silence.

I simply want to delete, and don't want to keep the silence.
