Convert multiple page pdf to multiple jpg

Ok Here is the best way I could find to take a PDF and make each page its own jepg image.

1. Open (Automator) on the window that opens it asks for a starting point I would Select (Files & Folders) the big Finder image. For the settings on it I would select (my mac) and (Ask For Files & Folders when my workflow runs) from the drop down menus, that way you can save it and reuse it latter.

2. I would drag the (PDF to images) automation under the (Ask for Finder Items) automation. To find said (PDF to images) you can either search for it or it can be found in the PDF section on the left.

3. After which I would drag the (Change Type of Images) automation under the (PDF to images) automation, I would say Don't add to the (This action will change the image type ...... ect ect.....), and I would select (To Type (jpeg)) from the drop down menu. To find said (Change Type of Images) once again you can search in the search box or you can find it in the Photos section on the left.

4. Run Automation, the button is located in the top right. Select the PDF you want to turn into jpeg pages and there you go.

I'm using www.imagemagick.org, commandline operated but easy to use when installed.
Typing:
"convert example.pdf example.png"
converts all pages to numbered png images.
Fink or MacPorts will make the installation easy.

I dont know this work for you or not but it works fine with me....

It is very simple ..... but there is only one problem.. each page takes random file name....

You can do with preview.....

open pdf file or what ever in preview.... then click on print ...
The print window will appear....
In this window... there is one button... called "PDF"- left to preview...(left bottom corner)
click on PDF button say "save PDF to iPhoto"
Once it converted all files... it will ask where to save....
then open iPhoto... all picture files are there...

Actually, in Preview (I'm on 10.5.7) I can go to File -> Print -> PDF -> Save to folder as JPG. Or you can do TIFF. You can certainly do as the previous person noted by sending to iPhoto, but this was an extra step for me.

Did anyone get back to you? I know how to do it a page at a time as well....but would like to do it in one shot:)

Is that the correct syntax?

running convert test.pdf test.png brings back this error message:

convert: missing an image filename `test.png' @ convert.c/ConvertImageCommand/2766.
