brutal error message OSStatus error 2003332927 Can not record video/audio

Giving this a BUMP as I just encountered the same error and can not figure out a fix... We have reinstalled QT several times and can not get around this error.

Same problem here....arg. Help!

Hi everybody.

I am having the same problem/receiving the same error message.

I purchased a Pro key, and cannot record Audio or Video.

MacBook Pro
OS 10.4.11

Recording audio using other applications, I had to format my drive(s) (system and external) in HFS+ format.

Could this be causing the error?

Any information anybody has would be much appreciated.

Hi there.
After further testing I have found that the reason I was receiving the Brutal Error, was because of my DigiDesign Core Audio Driver.

If I am using the MBox, and Digi Core Audio, (i.e Mbox I/O is active) Quicktime Pro will not record video/Audio.

If however I switch back to the Mac audio out (disconnect the MBox), Quicktime Pro works fine.

I havent had time to "fix" the problem in the Digi Core Audio, but this was the source of my Brutal Error Code.

this worked for me too. i use a digi 002 with pro-tools and have never been able to record video because of this error. now i just switch the 002 power off, quit digicore audio and it works fine & dandy.

has anyone an idea how to get around digi coreaudio issue without me having to unplug my 003rack? i need to use my internal mic for talkback (via QTpro)... or does anyone know another way to use isight mic for talkback?
