What are the best ear-bud headphones under $50?

Im going to Europe for about a year and (of course) taking my iPod with me. The problem is, Apples ear-buds that come with the iPod get pretty uncomfortable after about an hour. Im looking for a pair of ear-buds headphones that are good quality, provide good sound, are comfortable, but arent too expensive.

The main two that I have been looking at are the Koss "Plug" portable headphones and the Sony Fontopia headphones. Does anyone have any other suggestions or are one of these good?

In my humble opinion... Sony MDR-EX51LP Studio Monitor Headphones (Blue) $39.95 Quantity: 1.

I use them and enjoy them for the price!

... of course, for over the price... Bose TriPort Headphones - Silver or any Sennheiser (HD497, HD590, etc.) pair will work fantastically.

Oh, yeah, the PX100, PX200, PMX60 by Sennheiser are good portables ones, too... highly recommended!

If you're "almost happy" with the Apple earbuds but they don't quite make it for you, you might consider giving the Griffin Earjams a try. They're pretty cheap, and the improvement is amazing. They snap onto the earbuds. They dramatically improve sound quality, noise isolation, and comfort.

riversen~ Radio Shack sells them (that's where I got mine) as do other electronics dealers. Do a search on google and you'll easily find them. The difference is amazing and they're CHEAP and come with a REALLY great carrying case!
