Cant Transfer movie to my ipod touch

Hello,
I was syncing up my ipod touch and I get an error message saying one of the movies cant be copied to the ipod because it cannot be played on this ipod. This is the first time this has happened..Its a movie I transfered off a legit dvd and has the m4v extension like all the other movies on my ipod. Anyone has any thoughts??

P.S. i just did a software update...just wanted to throw that out there.

have you tried using the 'create ipod or iphone version' menu command in itunes on the movie file? it probably shouldn't need this doing but it can't hurt to try.

does it play in itunes?
you might need to create an ipod touch version. highlight the movie, go to the advanced menu, and click create ipod/iphone version.

hi.. i have an iPod Touch 16 gb.. 2nd gen.. I am unable to transfer some movies to my iPod Touch.. iTunes just hangs when i transfer a movie. They actually did transfer first time, but when i tried second time, it didn't.. Some music videos do transfer, some don't.. Please help..
