Itunes recognises Iphone remote, but not ipod touch

Hey

I have a new Macbook Pro (2.4ghz, 10.5.6 etc)

My friends can use their iphones to connect to my itunes, but when i try with my ipod touch, it just hangs on the verifying passcode bit.

We are all using the same network

any ideas?

I've been trying to get my wife's 2nd Gen iPod Touch to verify passcode with her new (at Christmas) 15" MacBook Pro with no luck. Like Squatlino, I called Support and spoke with a Product Specialist. After about an hour on the phone with him he told me they can not provide troubleshooting for apps from the App Store. I felt like saying, "Are you kidding; not even support for your own app?" but I kept my mouth shut.

Our setup is an iMac on a wired connection, and the MacBook Pro is on WiFi, but the really strange thing is I was able to verify passcode with my iMac in WiFi and my 1st Gen iPod Touch will verify passcode on both Macs.

Is there something different with the wireless setup in the 2nd Gen iPod Touch that is interfering with the verifying process on MacBook Pros?
