Reach Home-Screen without home-button?

I would love another way to get to the homescreen, my home button is currently not working and the only way for me to get Home is to shut the entire the iPod touch off, wait a minute or two, and then restart it...quite annoying I must say.

If you are tired of sweeping your finger across the screen, you can just touch to the left side of the screen where there are (up to 9) grey dots (representing your pages) to scroll left/back. Or touch to the right side to scroll left/forward. Not instantaneous to the Home, but another way to move around.

VA - that IS the home screen, just different pages of it I think what the OP is talking about is exiting from apps to the home screen.

i dunno, but that'd mean you'd need to know what was wrong with it, you could try googling it to see if there are any suggestions out there.

it'll depend whether it's under warranty or not, if it is, they will either fix it or swap it for a new one. if not, you may have to pay.

What is the problem with using the home button?

the home button IS the 'go-home' feature. why would you need another way?

well that would be annoying, you need to try and get your home button fixed at an apple store.

Can you fix your home button on your own? if not how much will it cost to fix it?
