When I play a certain DVD in my MacBook Pro, three quarters of the way through, all of a sudden "skipping over damaged area" pops up and skips an entire chapter or two. Yet, when I play it in a Windows computer it plays fine. I tried playing it in a friends MacBook and right around the same spot "skipping over damaged area" popped up. Would that indicate that it's a Mac OSX issue? Any idea on how I can resolve this issue?
Probably not an OS issue, but a drive issue. Does the Windows PC have a tray-loading optical drive? Slot-loading drives, whether in Mac or PC laptops, are much less tolerant of disc imperfections.
