Since IPOD doesn't support SMIL files, is there a way to convert these files to one that will work on my IPOD?

Looking at this:
http://www.bu.edu/webcentral/learning/smil1/smil.html, it looks like SMIL files are a type of HTML that has embedded music/graphics, etc. Not anything to convert, as I understand it. You'd have to get the music OUT of it . . . if that makes sense.

Thanks. It must be a RealAudio (.rm) file (RealAudio is the only player that can read it), but I can't find any way to differentiate it in order to separate it. I had hoped to listen to NPR programs on my IPOD, but few are podcasts and those are shortened.

Steve - do a search for ".rm to Mp3" in google. You'll get about 1000 different sites to check. You'll need to decide what works best for you.
Thanks. I just found Replay Radio. It may or may not work for what I want, but free would be even better.
