Quicktime Question Mark and Vista ?

Has anyone really solved this problem yet. I have Vista Ultimate, IE7, and Quicktime 7.6. I get the question marks over the Q when trying to view imbedded videos -- especially at the apple quicktime site. I've seen lots of suggestions on how to solve the problem, but none work.

Is this just a bug in QT we will have to live with until Apple decides to solve the problem.

I can get embedded files to run if I uncheck (turn off)"Enable Protected Mode" under Security Settings in Iternet Options (IE 7). I don't think you want to run IE with this unchecked. So, then, which Privacy Options do we believe are blocking embedded videos from running so we can just tuen off those using custom level options ??
