iPhone camera lag?

About 70% of the time I take a photo, the screen does that swirly thing and the capture sound but it doesnt show me the picture that I took. It just stays at the screen where the lines form in the middle. It looks kind of like the 'loading' button for Macs but in dark gray. And yes, i suck at explaining but does this happen to anyone? I reset my phone and then it works for like 2 pictures then it goes back into the weird mode.
And no, the picture isnt taken, ususally my phone freezes there and i have to do a hard reset.
