Rotating text in Final Cut Pro

Rotating text in Final Cut Pro

I'm relatively new to FCP and am currently in the middle of a small edit. I want to have text in the scene but I would like it to be rotated slightly (clockwise), so it appears to be resting on an object in the scene.

I know how to insert text but that's about it. Do I need to use LiveType or can this be done in FCP?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

Dbl-click the text file in the timeline (brings it into the viewer)...rotation will be found in the Motion tab of the viewer.

'Center' coordinates, or activate wireframe in the canvas and move it manually.

Be advised, text will look best when set on an even integer 'y' axis.

Check the manual for details.
