How to monitor activity on a USB port?
I would like to see if there is any traffic going across a USB port on my MacBook Pro. Are there any utilities that allow us to monitor traffic on a USB port?

If you install the Developer Tools (on your 10.5 DVD or from http://developer.apple.com) there is an application in /Developer/Applications/Utilities called USB Prober. It will do what you want, including real-time monitoring of the USB ports.
