click & fly wheel

the fly wheel and click don't seem to be working.

the only way that the ipod will turn on is when i lock and then unlock. the unlocking lights up the screen. after that i can do nothing as fly wheel doesn't scroll and nothing clicks.

Okay it seems like you have a nasty error with your iPod. The click wheel is a very sensative piece of equipment - are you sure that you haven't spilt anything on it / physically damaged it in any way??

If you are sure no physical damage has been done to your iPod's clickwheel, try reseting your iPod.. it may be a software fault. You can reset your iPod by pressing and HOLDING the MENU and CENTRE button at the SAME TIME for 6 SECONDS.

nothing happend. it is like nothing that is pressed or scrolled is being connected to anything.

were you able to solve your problem (somehow...?)
because I've got the same problem and NO idea what to do about it.
