Syncing Everytime

Since upgrading to iTunes 6, every time I connect my Ipod (40GB Photo Ipod ver. 1.2) it syncs my entire music library, not just what was changed or deleted. All 2500 songs, every time. Anyway to have it sync only what was changed or deleted or added as before???

Hi Michael,

Yes there is a simple answer to your question. iTunes has a setting to choose wether it should sync your entire library every time it detects the ipod.

Do the following:
- Open iTunes
- Click Edit -> Preferences
- Select the tab "ipod"
- From there, you can toggle "Automatically update all songs and playlists".

In my opinion, you should tick that box, but ALSO tick "only update checked songs". When you add/change songs in your library, they are checked. Therefore, if you have that selection ticked, every time you insert your ipod you should only have to wait for the new/changed songs to update onto it.

Hope this helps!
- Greg.
