Can only send small size images with mail

there are two places to set the photo size - either can cause this

when you select a photo(s) and click mail you can set actual, large, medium or small and in the resulting compose mail window there is a menu at the lower right hand corner to again let you set actual, large, medium or small - if either is set to small then that is what you will send

Are you selecting large in BOTH places?

1 - in the iPhoto window

2 - in the mail compose window

What size is the original photo in iPhoto (info winndow in the lower left of the source pane - if it is not there click on the blue "i" to add it) - if it is small then you can only send a small photo

I think it is because that option in mail exists for all photos no matter their source - Mail can make the photo smaller than iPhoto did but not larger - it would be nice (and less confusing) if iPhoto passed the setting to Mail and Mail used it - but for now you must look in two places

It is new in iPhoto '08 - and still is there in '09
