Print Server
I'm adding my iMac to my home network.
I've got a Linksys print server with a parallel port and a usb port.
I have a HP Deskjet 6122 plugged in to the usb port.
When I add a new printer and click on Apple Talk, it quickly finds my print server. When I select it, a blank page prints. The driver defaults to Generic Postscript Printer. If I attempt to print anything using this setting, it prints a page with "%!PS-Adobe-3.0 %APL DSCEncoding: UTF8 %APLProducer: (Version 10.5.6 (Build 9G55)" across the top, and then a bunch of blank pages.
If I change the driver to HP Deskjet 6122 - Gutenprint v5.1.3, it prints a bunch of wierd symbols across the top line and down the side of the page.
Any suggestions on what could be the problem? Smells like the driver to me, but I'm a noob Mac user.
Thanks in advance for your help.
