MPEG Streamclip-Video Fast Forward, Audio out of sync

I'm using mpeg streamclip to convert files from a sony mini dvd camcorder .vob to quicktime dvcpro50, but the video intermittently fastforwards causing the audio to go out of sync, usually after what would have been a timecode break, any hints?
Thanks, Schooner

My original media is from a mini dvd sony camcorder, I xfered the mpeg (.vob) files to a hard drive, then drop them into "MPEG streamclip" to convert to a Quicktime DVCPRO50 movie which I'll change to Apple DV

In MPEG Streamclip, once you've set an IN and OUT point (if needed), export to QuickTime. When the export window opens, Use the drop-down compressor menu and choose Apple DV/DVCPro (NTSC or PAL, depending on your area). Make sure to set the quality at 100% and the audio for 48khz, 16 bit.

If you have several clips or DVDs to convert, you can save your settings for quick use later.

I tried file open instead of drag and drop, but the video still clearly goes into fast motion after some camera record stop/starts, but audio seemed to stay in sync once video catches up or went back to normal speed. I also tried the batch list method, same results. But like I said, the fast motion that happens intermittently after record stop/starts is in the conversion before I make the Quicktime(Movie)
Thanks again, Schooner

I'm not sure what this means. Streamclip does the conversion to QuickTime movie or are you doing something else. I've not heard of this issue before with VOB material. It may be something with the way this camera, whatever this camera is, records the media or the type of VOB file it's creating. Not sure why you don't give exact information on the source. There might be information about this available online.
