I want to connect my ipod to my home stereo reciever (Sony STR-DE935) but there are no aux input jacks on the reciever. It has jacks for MD, CD SAT, DAT, etc. How can I listen to my ipod through this reciever?

Most receiver jacks are standard RCA (usually, one red and one white). A standard cable with two RCA jacks on one end and a stereo mini plug on the other should allow you to plug into any of the jacks. Then, select that device on your receiver to play the iPod. For instance, if you plug into the DAT jacks, select the DAT on your receiver menu.
And, what I forgot to say - if you have a dock, put the iPod in the Dock and plug the mini plug into the Audio out on the dock. That way, you bypass the internal amp in the iPod. Much better sound that way.
Thanks,
It worked, but there is very discernable interference. I tried through the DAT jack, the Video 3 jack and the Phono jack and all produced quite bad results. I used the Monster cable and I'm not very fastidious about sound quality. Do you know if Air Tunes has better quality?

Ack. I am sorry it didn't work well. I've done it with a couple different receivers without problems. My guess is your Sony is more high end than mine and more finicky about input. I don't have any expereince with Air Tunes. I have had OK results with a Griffin iTrip. MIght work to play through an FM blank spot if you set the iPod close. Not sure.
