How to change page orientation in Pages?

Pages allows only one orientation in the entire document.

However nothing is stopping you turning the text 90°. Obviously you would want to do your editing first then rotate it.

Failing that skip a page in the portrait layout and add it in after from a second landscape document.

I agree that it is useful and MsWord does it, but even major DTP programs like Indesign and QuarkXPress don't do it.

There is always the option of rotating your material sideways on a standard page to achieve the same result.

But how can one print the document if the pages have different orientation????

MsWord does it, though sometimes it stuffs up.

In Pages if you rotate the horizontal page to the vertical orientation of everything else, it is just another page.

Indesign CS4 has a nifty feature which rotates the artboard so you can view the rotated layout in its normal position. This is a better way to go IMHO.

In preview you can rotate a page too but I don't know what happens when printing.

The rotation in Preview is just a simple command in the .pdf. It all seems to sort itself out in printing, Acrobat has the occasional odd moment where pages are rotated from their real orientation. It is like the "cropping" in .pdf files which really doesn't cut anything off it just changes the bounding box so what you see appears to be cropped.
