iPhoto not printing on Epson Stylus C86

On commanding printing of any photos in my library, only the first two print then the paper stops and does not resume printing. Have checked ink cartridges (black full; all color c's half full). Have reinstalled printer driver. Other color frames in other app's (e.g., Safari) print ok, only iPhoto '04 doesn't. How do I uninstall '04 and return to previous version (my OS is 10.2.8). Will I lose my photo library in uninstalling/reinstalling? Don't need the other app's in iLife, just iPhoto.

First off... was printing ok before you had iPhoto '04? Did you have a lower version before? And is the printer brand new?

In the print menu in iPhoto, when it asks the size you want the pictures to print at, how many pages does it says it's going to print? ie in gray font, it says something along the lines of "28 photos selected, 14 pages to print".

It sounds more like a setting in the printer menu in iPhoto... dig around and see what you can find. Make sure you're not just printing "Page 1 to 1", and the right printer driver is selected.

If you really want to go back to an earlier version, your photos can easily be saved... in your Finder, go to your user folder -> iPhoto Library -> and drag the pictures out... stick them somewhere else in your computer if you plan to delete the program.

Yes, the same printer printed photos from the earlier iPhoto which came with the OS X. Using the iPhoto '04, I tried to command printing all 53 fotos ub an album formatted either 4 per standard sheet and 6 per sheet. I also tried printing just page 1 but the results were always only the first two fotos printed. Today I decided to set the album in Adobe Preview and they printed out fine. But continue to print only the first two photos when printing from iPhoto.

Heather,

That is not the recommended method. Dragging photos out of the iPhoto Library Folder through the finder is very messy business and extremely time consuming.

This will also destroy the iPhoto Library.

The recommended method is to export the photos from iPhoto from the menu or drag them from the window to the desktop.

An easy way to get the pictures you want out of an iPhoto Library is to use this:

iPhoto Extractor ( scroll for the version you need)
http://homepage.mac.com/butlers/iPhotoExtractor/DownloadiPhotoExtractor.htm

If you are going back to an earlier version of iPhoto, you can not use or access an iPhoto Library created in a newer version of iPhoto.
