Need to unregister my iphone

have just sold my iphone and i had it activated on my itunes account some time back. Now the person who bought it cant sync it to their itunes, any thoughts? thanks

They should probably restore the iPhone to factory conditions so that they start fresh with their own settings, content, etc.

Did you use the erase all data and settings option with the iPhone (which is a secure erase), or restore the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup without syncing the iPhone afterwards before you handed your iPhone over to someone else?

If not, why on earth wouldn't you do this before selling your iPhone to someone else?

Tell the person who purchased your iPhone to restore the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone.
