Photo Booth photo delay time?

Is there a Setting or Preference by which you can set the delay timer before a photo is taken in Photo Booth?

3 seconds isn't really long enough to stage a photo if you're also IN the photo. Is there a way to edit that setting, or, alternately, to program the application to take many photos in a row until it's told otherwise?

Thanks in advance, Mac wizards!

Welcome to Discussions, -Luke

I agree with Ralph. You can enable or disable the 3 second countdown in Photo Booth, but you cannot otherwise adjust it. Photo Booth, a rather basic app that allows few adjustments, won't do what you want. Moreover, Photo Booth is not scriptable, so you cannot control it with AppleScript.

If you cannot find some application other than Photo Booth that will do what you want, you may be able to use Apple Script &/or Automator with a different application ( QuickTime Pro, iChat, etc.) to do something like what you want.

You may be able to use Automator's " Take Picture" or " Take Video Snapshot" process to automate a workflow that will meet your needs.

If not, and if the help file linked here does not give you some ideas, check out the two threads listed below to see if they might give you an idea for a starting point.
