Faces don't show up on Cork board

I just installed ILife '09 and can't get the faces feature of iPhoto (v.8) to work on my iMac. When i open iPhoto, it scans my photos (about 20 minutes) but ends with the cork board with no faces available for naming. I've deleted the "face.db" and "face_blob.db" files several times to force a rescan of the image files but get the same result each time. What am I overlooking?

That you have to name the faces.

Select a Pic in the Library or an Album and click on the Name button. Name the person in the photo. Check the Corkboard. Repeat...

Face don't appear on the cork board until you name them. Go to a photo with a person in it. Click on the names icon at the bottom of the window. Name the faces in the photo. Now that they are named they will appear on the cork board.
