Too many Connections error 1040

Hi, I access a website forum everyday and have it bookmarked, but today all I get is:
GENERAL ERROR
SQL ERROR (mysqli)
Too many connections (1040)
An sql error occurred whilst contacting this page. etc
Any suggestions anybody please, it means nothing to me. I'm new to Mac and haven't had the problem before. Really appreciated.

Imac, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

It might be the website having problems. It may simply have too many users, and exceeded its software limit.
I would first clear out your browser cache and even try a different browser, such as FireFox.
If this is the only website with this error, I am quite sure it is not a problem on your computer.
