Help me uninstall Shutterfly™ Export Assistant for iPhoto!

Hey hey,

I hate this plug-in right now. It's unstable and quite unreliable. It never manages to upload images when I select a group of hi-res images, and just gets stuck on "Pending" status after uploading one or two of them.

If I try to cancel the transfers at this point, iPhoto just 'beach-balls' for an eternity, and I have to resort to force-quitting! Which makes me very uncomfortable leaving it installed.

I tried to uninstall it, but there is no documentation anywhere. Unlike the Flickr Export plug-in, it is not in a separate item/folder/file that can be searched and removed at will.

Anyone have any ideas? I emailed the Shutterfly customer support, and hope that instructions will be forthcoming.

Hello everyone,

A Shutterfly customer service staff replied to my enquiry and the instructions are appended below. I should have checked the package contents. I don't know why I didn't think of that in my frustration.

Hope this will help others in future who need to do the same thing.

To uninstall the iPhoto Exporter plugin, we first recommend that you
exit the iPhoto program. Once the program is closed:

1) Double click on your hard drive icon on your computers desktop and
open up your Applications folder
2) Locate the iPhoto icon, and click on it while holding down the
Control button on your keyboard
3) In the menu, click on "Show Package Contents"
4) Open up the Contents folder
5) In the Plugins folder locate the icon that says
"Shutterfly.iPhotoExporter". Click and drag this icon to your trash can
and delete the trash.

This will uninstall the plugin from your iPhoto plugin.
