Bluetooth HS810 and Iphone 3G

I presently have a Motorola T501 and it works fine.
I also have a Bluetooth model HS810, one of the early haedsets. I am unable to match the HS810 with my Iphone. Should it be possible or is the HS810 out of date?
Thanks for the assistance.

I just successfully paired my HS810 with my iPhone 3G. These are the steps.

1. Turn Bluetooth on via settings-->general on iPhone.
2. As it searches for devices, press and hold center button on HS810 until you get the steady blue light.
3. Open the boom (mouth piece).
4. When the iPhone says HS810 unpaired, touch that line.
5. You will be prompted for the pin. (Motorola default is 0000)

If you put the wrong pin in, you will have to start over, and turn bluetooth off, then on again.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

I trust you were successful as far as your combination of hardware will permit. Yes folks the iphone bluetooth does exist and functions as designed. Unfortunately most users and alot of techs still dont realize Bluetooth is like any other peripheral it has various versions. To simplify, like the original acclaimed USB the term is generic and even though the hardware looks similar there are dramatic differences between USB 1 and the now common USB 2
But back to our headsets, i love mine the quality of stereo music is unequalled but alas iphone3g only uses the first generation bluetooth so the sound is in mono once paired and will only work for the phone features not the ipod features. For the die hard tecks that want this explained in teckie complete with version numbers and capabilities of bluetooth feel free to let me know. Bring coffee and aspirin. Anyways we iphone users can still use our 1st gen bluetooth for handsfree calls just not the full featured 2nd version bluetooth that hopefully iphone will update to in the near future. There are a couple after market work arounds that can give you BT2 if you just must have it and again let me know and i will share with whomever needs the info. Thanks and be safe.
