iphone restore stuck on ''Verifying Iphone Restore "

Iphone is in recovery mode and the screen is unresponsive unless i plug it in and start the update and restore on itunes then the apple symbol shows up . But half way through the restore is gets stuck on "Verifying Iphone restore" . I have tried it on 3 different Windows xp computers no luck still gets stuck at the same point . I also have left it over night on the step and still no luck .. I dont know what else to do . . any ideas please help Thanks

Hello,

Have you done a hard restore, Turn of iPhone off then hold the home button and plug it in. It will erase the whole thing but it might fix it.

Thanks for the link to that troubleshooting article elsewhere on the Apple site. That worked for me, but not until the very last step (before calling Apple). I did a complete uninstall of iTunes and tried to uninstall the AppleMobileDevice extension as well. Only then did the restore work.
