Retrieving voicemail on the computer

When I am in another country and do not have my iphone with me, is there a way to retrieve voicemail messages remotely from a computer? How do I do that?

No, but you can call your number to access your voicemail on AT&T's server the old fashioned way.

The iPhone and iTunes do not provide a way for you to check voicemail from your computer. Your best bet is to contact your wireless carrier as this is a service that would come from them.

How do I access my voicemail the old fashioned way on the AT&T server? I have Skype and can call my phone number from it...but then what? I've been out of the country for 6 weeks without my phone.

When you call your phone number, during your answering machine message, press the start (*) (... or was that pound (#)...) followed by your PIN.

This is the same method of checking voicemails on any non-visual voicemail phone

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to want to work from Skype. Maybe it doesn't hear the # or * sign???? Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait 2 more weeks til I get back.

I'm surprised that Skype doesn't work, but surely you can find another phone to call your voicemail from?
