Windows Media Player is ******* me off...Need help for iTunes

Ok, so recently my computer went haywire on me, and I had to start from scratch by basically wiping the HD and now installing Windows Vista (I used to have XP). I did back up all my songs on my external before hand.

So now that everything SHOULD be up and running, I transferred all my songs back to my C:\.

Yet...now when I go to "play all" (in order for iTunes to reference them), it says "Play All with Windows Media Player" and WMP thinks it has the rights to all the song files. I use iTunes for everything and I can't find the option part on either software to make iTunes the primary again.

I used to be an IT major...

Now I think that's in the past...lol.

I need help. Who knows how to fix it?

(Oh, and if you know a way to get them all to register instead of me going by artist by cd to play, that'd be appreciated too! :D)

This article tells you how to set itunes as the default media player in Vista.

To get them all in your itunes library, drag the top-level music folder over from Win Explorer to the itunes window. You don't need to add things one-by-one!
Alterantivly, you can use itunes menu > File > Add folder to library and do the same thing.
