Applying sparkle / glitter effect to text and background in FCE 3.5

Hi Guys -

I am working on a project which requires the title of the movie to sparkle and glitter. Is there an effect I can download or is there a way to make text / background appear like it is sparkling and shimmering? Think of movies such as Priscilla Queen of the Desert and The Birdcage (don't ask) for inspiration. Any help is welcome!

Power Mac G5 Quadcore, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

There are some glow and light effects. There is also LiveType which has some sparkly text.

Thanks for your reply, I'm pleased that there are effects out there - do you know any of their names etc so I can track them down online. I will also have a play around with livetype.

The glow effects come with FCE 4, I don't know about 3.5. If they did, you'd find them under filters.

I used an effect in livetype under Objects > Particles > Magic Wand which gave a fairy-dust effect. Combined with a "Big Bang" object it looks great.
