Does new Mac Mini support dual display?

I noticed there are 2 display connectors, one is mini DVI and the other one is Mini DisplayPort.
So I want to know does the new Mac Mini support dual displays? Either use one DVI and one DP, or use mini DisplayPort to Dual DVI adaptor.

Regards.

Welcome to Apple Discussions!

The product description for these new models reads in part:
Mini DisplayPort and mini-DVI output with support for DVI, dual-link DVI, and VGA video via adapters. Connects to up to two external displays with digital resolution up to 2560 by 1600 via Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter or 1920x1200 via Mini DisplayPort, Mini-DVI to DVI Adapter, or Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter. Analog resolution (VGA) up to 2048 by 1536 using Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter or Mini-DVI to VGA Adapter.

The +Connects to up to two external displays+ would suggest that indeed two compatible displays are possible.

As yet, however, there is no way to confirm it since no-one had got their hands on one and tried! I suspect it won't be long before Macworld or someone similar can tell us.

Andy, I think this confirms that the new Mini will indeed support dual monitors in either an extended desktop or via mirroring:

*"Extended desktop and video mirroring: Simultaneously supports up to 1920 by 1200 pixels on a DVI or VGA display; up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on a dual-link DVI display using Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter (sold separately)"*

Found it on this page:

Hi,

I am sorry for jumping on your thread, but I am very interested in knowing the answer to this question. I would like to purchase a new mac mini online in the near future, but I will not buy one if I cannot connect more than one display. Also, please excuse me for being obtuse, but if I were to buy a new mac mini, does anyone know which cable I would buy in order to connect the 2nd display?

Many thanks,
Elaine
