Epson NX400 Connected as Shared Printer

So I have tried everything to get this to work attached to my Airport Extreme but to no avail. I have used wireless printing successfully with other printers but this time I can get see the printer attached to the AE but when I send a document to print nothing happens and the job does not appear in the print manager. I have checked for the latest printer firmware and the printer works fine when attached by USB to my MBP.
Any ideas or will this model just not work?

Macbook Pro 17", Mac OS X (10.5.6)

Since a reliable compatibility list for printers does seem to exist, it's trial and error.

Try working your way through the troubleshooting guide for printing with the AE, TC, etc. Sometimes the last item in the guide...resetting the printing system....works wonders. But, as many others have found, not all printers are compatible and advanced features like scanning, maintenance are not supported if you have an all in one device. Hope this helps.

Many thanks for the advice. I guess I will give it another go but I have a hunch that the printer is not compatable.
