Bypass YouTube Mobile in Safari

Is there any way to keep YouTube from switching to YouTube Mobile when you go to YouTube on Safari? The reason I ask is because I'd like to be able to comment on videos. It doesn't seem like the iPhone 3G would be incapable of viewing the full version of YouTube, as I'm able to view the full versions of many other websites without problems. It's not like it's a standard cell phone that can't manage full websites. Thanks!

Some websites will include a small link somewhere that will allow you to view the full site.

But YouTube doesn't. Even if I type in the regular YouTube addresses, it redirects to YouTube Mobile. Is there not a way to bypass it?

That would be up to Youtube. If they don't want to allow it, you won't be able to bypass it.

Well it's obvious they want you to use the limited Mobile version, but I don't think that necessarily means it cannot be bypassed (such as by typing in a particular link or something).

You could email Youtube and ask them since it would be up to them to provide a workaround.

I just went to Youtube.com and at the very bottom there is a link to the full version.

Thank you so much, that's exactly what I was looking for! I was totally unaware of that, although I'm surprised I didn't notice it before when I scrolled to the bottom. Now I feel stupid! lol

Yeah, I don't know why I didn't see it. I scrolled down before looking for that specifically, but apparently I wasn't paying enough attention. I tried to use the links on the side at the bottom thinking they'd provide access to my full account and didn't think to look even lower in the center. Oh well, it was a learning experience for both of us. 🙂
