print each stage of builds animation is broken or just plain sloppy?

I've had iWork since 2006 and the latest version of Keynote '09 still hasn't fixed the problem with printing each stage of the builds in a slide. And I'm not doing whacky complex builds.
My printout has slides missing several builds within that slide and some slides with no builds at all.
Is there something that I'm missing? Is there something more than just checking the box for "print each stage of builds" under Print Options?
