can't find albums created in iweb

I'm so new to this, but a while ago I created a web-site to iWeb. I now want to go in and change what I created but I can't find anything in the sidebar that I created. I can see it when I go to my web-site, but I can't make any changes because the pages aren't there when I open iWeb. What am I missing?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. iWeb saves all of the elements needed for creating and maintaining a web site in a Unix style package titled domain.sites2. It's default location is in your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder. Look in there to see if it's there. Then double click on it to open with iWeb. If that's the package that does not show your web site close iWeb, download Find File and do a search for ".sites2". (Find File will search in locations that Spotlight does not). If you don't find another file then your domain file has been damaged/corrupted.

Do you have a backup of your domain file or home folder? If not then you'll have to rebuild your site from scratch. However, Chapter 2.3 of this iWeb FAQ site has tips on using some of the published files in the reconstruction of the site.
