Skin Armor vs Invisible Shield for iPhone 3G

Just put on iPhone 3G Skin Armor I bought from Skinomi here:

Skinomi claims Skin Armor to be thicker than Invisible Shield, but I didn't really notice a difference. I also noticed the Skin Armor surface is smoother, comapared to InvisShields' "grippier" texture. In any case, both are pretty much identical, but I'd go with the cheaper $15 full body Skin Armor (at least for the 3G..it's on clearance).

What you guys think?

I have been VERY curious about these skins. I want to use one but im a little afraid. How do they work? is the screen blurry or foggy? also, i have an armband for when I run...do you think it would still slip in the band with this skin on? how easy is the instalation?

I looked at skins but ultimately decided on a case. Skins are great for cosmetic protection but provide zero protection if dropped, which I've done twice now in 6 months... case did its job both times.

I use an iFrogz Luxe... <$20 shipped.

that is a pretty neat skin, but I just think the iphone 3g is really awesome looking!

I use it a LOT in that arm band (everyday) so taking in and out of cases seems like a pain.

Im sure I would be thanking that case if I dropped it and it broke tho right haha

It is a nice looking phone but that's not why I bought it. Will the arm band not stretch around a case? My iPhone is only 0.13" wider and .08" thicker with the iFrogz Luxe case.

Probably not. Its all good tho. I already have one of those in case slider ones. Just a pain getting it off cause its such a close fit.

These skins will NOT protect your phone if you dropped it. They're more for protecting against scratches and normal wear/tear. But I'm usually very careful with my stuff and, like you, I do like the iPhone's look, so I didn't want to case it.

Putting the skins on takes a bit of skill. I actually put skins on most of my stuff, so I have a bit of practice. Skin Armor and InvisShield comes with a solution you spray on the film and a squeegee to smooth it on during installation. They're not foggy at all, in fact, you can barely notice it after the bubbles have dried.
