VOICE LOGIN

Since voice recognition would require additional software (something like the dication programs) and this would not be loaded until after login it is difficult to see any way this could be achieved.

In Accounts Preferences, click on Login Options and select "Use VoiceOver at login window"
If that is not what you are looking for then you will need 3rd party software, if it's available.

And please do not "shout" in the forum. All-caps posting is considered rude and is also more difficult to read than normal typing.

Well it could work. Mac OS 9 supported voice passwords, assuming that is what stevenmidi43 means. But it was never implemented in OS X.

But it wouldn't work if you shout. YOU HAVE TO SPEAK IN A NATURAL VOICE!!!!!!!

If you're looking for something like OS 9's "voice password" feature, you wont get it in OS X. There may be some third-party solution for this, but its not in anything apple Apple supplies.

Topher - just what does the thing I pointed out in the Login Options "Use VoiceOver at login window" do?? Does that merely speak the login options and typing but not utilize a voice password?
