WebCam not working

Hello,

yesterday, while using Photobooth, webcam in my alu macbook stopped working. Even after restart I can't get it work. Skype says, there is not any webcam available. Is there a way to find out what is actually wrong?

When you say "stopped working", do you mean suddenly shut off? If your Macbook doesn't shut down properly, if can damage files in use at the time the machine turned off. Perhaps your iSight driver was corrupted?

The webcam stopped working while using Photobooth. My computer did not shut off.

I don't know a way how to find out whether the driver or the hardware is corrupted. That is why I am asking here.
