Pouches vs Cases
I have had 3 cases in the past for my iPhone, each of which were all pretty good, except for the Power Support Air Jacket (waste of $35).
But recently, I bought a slide in pouch for my 3G at Best Buy and it's a hard leather pouch, built for protection.
I've come to a conclusion that pouches protect the iPhone more because normal cases don't have protection over the screen. If I had the Incase Slider on my iPhone and dropped it on the screen, I'm pretty sure the screen would crack.
With the pouch I bought, I could drop the iPhone on the screen or back and there would be no damage because the hard leather covers the entire device (except the top) because it's a slide in hard pouch.
Plus, I can just take out the iPhone to use and when it's not in use it sits in the case, easily protected.
This is just from my experience.
