Should I get the White or Black iPhone?

I'm about to return my 8GB iPhone 3G to Apple and will buy a 16GB. I'm wondering if I should stick to black, or move onto white.

They both look nice, but the white iPhone hides smudges and scratches. They both look just as nice but I've always preferred black over white on my devices.

What do you think?

I think you should go with what you prefer the most.

If you don't plan on using a case, and smudges and scratches not being as noticeable is important to you and is what you prefer the most, go with white. If you have always preferred black over white with your devices (I didn't know that may cell phones or devices were available in white) and is what you still prefer, go with black. If you plan on using a case the majority of the time, I don't believe it makes any difference.

I went with the black one. Sure the white one hides smudges and scratches, but I just prefer the black.

I was also skeptical about buying the white because the color is bright and I'm not sure if it would get dirty over time.

Being a guy, I'd always prefer the darker colors to the light, but I know some girls prefer black to white-guys vice versa.

So anyway, I returned my 8GB black iPhone 3G for the 16GB black iPhone 3G.

I paid $140 for the difference, including insurance, but it was well worth it.
Money shouldn't be a huge issue in our lives.

Now I'm happy because I can fit movies on my iPhone. 🙂
